Who Are We
St. Ruth Children's Research Hospital
St. Ruth Children’s Research Hospital is envisioned as a world-class pediatric research and treatment center committed to saving the lives of children affected by life-threatening, chronic, and preventable diseases. While addressing complex conditions such as sickle cell disease, malaria, infectious dise, and rare pediatric disorders, St. Ruth places equal emphasis on reducing under-five child mortality in Nigeria, particularly from enteric infections and malnutrition—two of the leading and most preventable causes of child deaths.

"From crisis to care – building a better life for every child.”
Our Impact

At St. Ruth, our deworming exercise is a simple but highly effective intervention aimed at improving child health. We do ou visit schools directly, reaching children where they learn and grow, and administer safe, age-appropriate deworming medication. This proactive approach helps reduce parasitic infections that contribute to malnutrition, anemia, and poor school performance. Though simple, the impact is profound—healthier children, better learning outcomes, and stronger foundations for long-term wellbeing.

At St. Ruth Children’s Research Hospital, our medical outreach programs are designed to reach underserved communities with vital pediatric care. During each outreach, we provide free health screenings, including hemoglobin electrophoresis tests, to identify children with sickle cell disease early. We educate parents and caregivers on sickle cell symptoms, crisis management, and preventive care, while distributing essential supplies like hydration kits and folic acid.
t. Ruth is reaching underserved communities with compassionate pediatric care, especially for children suffering from sickle cell disease and other chronic conditions. Through medical outreach programs and free consultations, we are helping families receive timely diagnoses and life-saving interventions. Our mission is transforming lives—one child, one village, one future at a time.

At St. Ruth Children’s Research Hospital, we provide free medications to children living with sickle cell disease as part of our commitment to health equity and compassionate care. These medications include essential pain relievers, folic acid, antibiotics, and hydroxyurea to help manage symptoms, reduce complications, and improve quality of life. Our goal is to ensure that no child suffers due to lack of access, especially those in underserved communities. By offering these life-saving drugs at little or no cost, we are delivering hope, healing, and dignity to every family we serve.
